One that travels or explores the land of Vietnam, will certainly share the view that not only is the beauty of man-made culture and architecture varied, but also the beauty of nature is very diverse. The North are comprised of many magnificent hills and mountains, and in the winter, the foggy ambience is reminiscent of the mountainous areas in Europe. Vietnam is already famous for its beautiful beaches along the coast, the Central region has miles and miles of prairies and sand dunes like Mongolia. In the South, the canals and river system is an unique and beautiful sight.
Not to mention, the intercourse of Eastern and Western culture in big cities such as Hanoi, Saigon, Hoi An, Da Lat etc. makes Vietnam look more diverse. That is why when travelers arrived in somewhere new, it is easy to think of it as being another country for its exotic looks.
1. The Great Wall of Ninh Binh
It is the newly discovered Mua Cave that is all the rage with the youths of Vietnam nowadays. Located at the base of Mua mountain, of the monument complex at former Capital Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh, when you look up on the mountain, you can clearly see the winding stone steps leading up to the mountaintop.
With almost 500 steps, this magnificent, awe-inspiring beauty will immediately reminds you of the Great Wall of China. It is equally tiring to climb these steps, but the view from the mountain peak is worth all the sweats and tears.
2. Northern European mountain in Hoa Binh
Sapa is a mountain city that has often been compared to European cities during winter, since it’s one of the few places that snow in Vietnam. However, Thung Khe Pass a.k.a White Stone pass in Hoa Binh gets the name literally from its year-round silvery mountains, making it look like any mountain in Northern Europe.
Anyone passing by National Highway 6 between Tan Lac and Mai Chau, Hoa Binh will stop to admire these mountains. The faded colors of these stony cliffs will surely make an impression on your instagram feed.
3. Santorini in Da Nang
Passing Thuan Phuoc Bridge, at 1A Le Van Duyet, Son Tra District in Da Nang and you will encounter Island Studios. The four Binh Islands - Binh Ba, Binh Hung, Binh Lap, Binh Tien - are renowned for their beauty. Everyone is enraptured by the wild beauty of these islands, from the half moon coastal line, to the white sand and the bright emerald water. There is a reason why locals compare this place to Maldives, it sure is no less beautiful.
6. Japan Architecture in Da Lat, Lam Dong
