Hanoi City Tour Double-decker Bus to be in Operation at the End of May21 May 2018
On June 30, 2017, Hanoi Transportation Corporation (Transerco) in collaboration with the Department of Transportation Hanoi began the pilot operation of the City Tour double-decker bus for the development of the Capital’s tourism.
Transerco said that the goal of the City Tour is to build a model bus serving tourists with high quality service; with a convenient route between the capital's attractions and places of interest to promote and develop tourism.The bus will have comfortable and convenient seating for sightseeing. There is an automatic, multi-lingual tourist information system that introduces passengers to the historical significance and traditional culture of attractions. The double-decker bus also comes with free wifi, camera, a refrigerator and a minibar.
Additionally, the Department of Tourism also coordinated with the survey departments to unanimously select 14 stops for tourists, including: Hanoi Opera House, Ha Noi Post Office, Tonkin Free School Square, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Vietnam Military History Museum, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Cua Bac Church, Thang Long Citadel, Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam, Hoa Lo Prison and 2 stops at the Vietnam Women's Museum.
On May 11, representatives of Transerco confirmed that they were urgently completing the final stages of officially launching the City Tour bus to begin its operation at the final week of May.
